    Organization

Established in 2016, The Community Impact Fund (TCIF) is a non-profit organization which seeks to improve the lives and opportunities within Muslim communities and their intersections across the United States by providing a variety of support services to organizations and programs which make community-level impact. To do this, TCIF acts as a funder, a platform, and a conduit for projects, programs, and organizations to reach their mission-based goals. TCIF aims to leverage (and, in the process, strengthen and expand) Muslim-American philanthropy to combine capital, social impact, and rigorous measurement to help advance organizations and programs, while freely sharing best practices, working models, and lessons learned.

TCIF currently impacts change using two main programmatic levers, Project Incubator Fiscal Sponsorship (PIFS) Program, and Community Grant Making, both of which are administered and evaluated by the Program Manager (PM). Learn more about the PIFS program (https://www.tcifund.org/project-incubator-fiscal-sponsorship-pifs-program/) and Community Grant Making (https://www.tcifund.org/what-we-fund/grant-announcements/).

    Position

TCIF seeks a dynamic, experienced, non-profit Program Manager with experience in setting up Model C Fiscal Sponsorship program and with administering grant programs. TCIF’s operational model is highly responsive to the ever-evolving needs of the community and ecosystem of funding entities. The role requires a dynamic skill set, with responsibilities ranging from maintaining strong administrative practices, to cultivating collaborative relationships, and participating in high level strategic visioning.

This person will report to the Board of Director and will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for TCIF’s programs. The PM must have a passion for serving the Muslim-American community, practice and promote anti-oppressive values, and be a champion for TCIF’s mission and vision according to the TCIF Theory of Change.

    Responsibilities

    • Proactively develop a Model C fiscal sponsorship program to actualize organizational and board mandates, and manage the administration of this initiative from inception to completion including budget development, monitoring, evaluation, stakeholder engagement, compliance, and reporting.
    • Develop knowledge about best practices to support relationship management and business development with prospective sponsees and partner funders.
    • Administer an ever evolving grantmaking program by managing the application and applicant assessment process, monthly meetings with grantees, coordinating capacity building activities, managing reporting, and evaluation activities.
    • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to execute activities, record keeping, and reporting according to the bylaws.
    • Hold a high standard of programmatic excellence through rigorous program evaluation, careful financial and administrative oversight, and professional stakeholder engagement and communication.
    • Serve as project manager for many simultaneous initiatives requiring careful tracking, progress monitoring, and periodic reporting.
    • Identify creative and strategic partnership opportunities in the non- and for-profit world, and initiate interactions and manage such relationships.
    • Support annual report development
    • Support program-related communications including website articles, blog posts, and press releases.
    • Be an external local and national presence that publishes and communicates program results with an emphasis on the successes of the local program as a model for regional and national replication.
    • Staying abreast to the latest topics impacting the grant making landscape and fiscal sponsorship.
