Jefferson Community Foundation is seeking a collaborative and strategic professional to join our team as the Director of Finance & Gift Planning.
As the Director of Finance & Gift Planning, you will cultivate and manage relationships with JCF fundholders to ensure their highest level of satisfaction with support for their charitable giving. With the input of the CEO and Director of Nonprofit Services, you will share tailored grantmaking suggestions with fundholders to manifest the community impact they seek to make now and in the future. You will advise them on strategies for replenishing their funds in ways that maximize their tax benefits and investment strategies to grow their advised funds over time. You will educate and inform fundholders and community members by hosting workshops, issuing briefings, and facilitating networking events in Jefferson County. Finally, you will develop meaningful partnerships with professional advisors (CPAs and estate planning attorneys) to increase the number of advised fund holders at JCF.
You will help to build capacity for significant growth by bolstering our internal financial management systems and by planning for increased asset management and grantmaking. You will oversee finance staff and directly support the JCF Board and Treasurer on matters related to JCF’s financial health. This includes working with the CEO on budgeting, cash flow management, and audit and 990 preparation.

Starting salary range: $90,000 - $100,000 per year; full-time, salary exempt.

Essential Duties
The Director of Finance & Gift Planning will elevate JCF's impact by implementing strategies designed to grow the number of advised funds under management and strengthen our ability to manage an increasing amount of assets. They will work closely with the CEO and be a critical part of a collaborative staff team working to realize JCF’s goals and vision. Jefferson Community Foundation offers generous benefits, including IRA contributions matched up to 3% of salary and a paid sabbatical after 5 years. Medical insurance is covered at 80% by JCF through Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Employees earn 18 days of paid time off and 9 paid holidays a year.
