    Position Overview

    The Lead Analyst: Evaluation will play a critical role in supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of evaluation activities across NCEE. This role will focus on providing actionable insights and supporting the development of evaluation frameworks, data collection tools, and analytical approaches that drive organizational learning. The Lead Analyst: Evaluation will work closely with NCEE colleagues, educators in the field, and other stakeholders to ensure that evaluation findings are relevant, accessible, and impactful. This position will report to the Director of Evaluation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and Develop Evaluation Plans and Tools: Collaborate with colleagues to create comprehensive evaluation plans, including defining research questions, establishing data protocols, and developing aligned data collection tools (e.g., surveys, interview guides).
    • Analyze and Interpret Data: Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess impact, identify trends, and pinpoint areas for growth. Provide findings that inform strategic decisions and program improvements.
    • Track Program Metrics and Monitor Progress: Support ongoing tracking of performance metrics to assess progress toward organizational goals and ensure timely adjustments as needed.
    • Deliver Insights and Strategic Guidance: Translate complex data into actionable knowledge that empowers educators, informs policymakers, and supports funders in decision-making. Provide targeted insights tailored to each audience's needs, emphasizing implications, key trends, and opportunities for impact.
    • Promote Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Learning: Document lessons learned and share best practices with colleagues, contributing to a culture of improvement and organizational learning.

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree in education, psychology, social sciences, public policy, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in evaluation, research, or data analysis, preferably in an education or nonprofit setting.
    • Skills and Expertise:
      • Strong understanding of research and evaluation methods, including both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
      • Experience in designing data collection tools, conducting data analysis, and reporting findings.
      • Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or Stata) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
      • Ability to interpret data and communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences.
      • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and to build effective partnerships with external stakeholders.

    Compensación

    NCEE offers competitive wages and benefits. The title, salary range, and specific job description for this position will be determined by experience.
