About Us
The Petey Greene Program supports the academic goals of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people through individualized educational programs, while educating volunteers on the systemic economic, social and legal inequities that affect segments of our society before, during, and after incarceration.
We envision a world in which all incarcerated people have access to high-quality educational and workforce readiness programs and we strive to inspire our alumni— both students and volunteers—to become thought leaders, and to take on leadership roles that reimagine the criminal legal system.
The PGP operates the largest multi-state volunteer tutoring program for currently and formerly incarcerated people. Since our founding in 2008, we’ve served over 21,000 students across more than 140 programming sites—including correctional and reentry programs—placed over 9,000 volunteers, and partnered with 40+ universities in seven states and Washington, D.C.
The PGP is headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey, but the majority of our 30 employees work in a hybrid arrangement.
The Opportunity
As the Petey Greene Program continues the implementation of an ambitious 5-year strategic plan that will affirm our organization as a nationally-recognized leader in carceral education by 2028, we are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and relationship-driven Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager to strengthen and expand our institutional fundraising efforts.
The Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager reports to the Executive Director of Business Development and Strategy and is responsible for providing expert proposal writing, research, and partnership management to help the Petey Greene Program meet its annual revenue target of $7.6 million. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth of an organization that is transforming access to education within the carceral system.
The Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager will work closely with the Executive Director of Business Development and Strategy and the executive team to play a key role in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts from corporations and foundations on behalf of the PGP. The ideal candidate will bring strong writing skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to building mission-aligned partnerships that advance the PGP’s mission. Responsibilities include conducting funder research, developing compelling proposals, presentations, and briefings, writing tailored reports, and managing donor data and communications within the organization’s CRM.
