Jewish Currents is seeking a full-time Audience Editor to lead Jewish Currents’ audience growth strategy. The person in this role will be responsible for growing our audience, deepening our engagement with current readers, and measuring all of the above. They will oversee Jewish Currents’ social media presence, newsletters, and other audience-facing channels. Along with tracking and interpreting audience metrics, they will communicate insights about our readership to our staff in order to inform organizational decision-making. This is a new position, and is ideal for a person who is passionate about audience strategy and excited about the possibility of using their expertise to help Jewish Currents grow.

Founded in 1946, Jewish Currents is a magazine committed to the rich tradition of thought, activism, and culture on the Jewish left and the left more broadly. We cover a wide variety of topics, including the uses and misuses of antisemitism, the inner workings of Jewish communal organizations, Israel/Palestine politics on the ground and internationally, race and racialization, strategies and horizons of American left movements, the global rise of the far right, diasporic cultural expression, labor, climate, incarceration, immigration, and feminism.

Location and Team Structure
This position can be remote or hybrid, with a preference for candidates based in New York City. This position will work with editors and organizational staff, and report to the Deputy Publisher.
This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East Collective Bargaining Agreement.
