About the Library Foundation of Los Angeles
The Library Foundation of Los Angeles provides critical support to the Los Angeles Public Library resulting in free programs, resources, and services available to the millions of adults, children, and youth in Los Angeles. Through fundraising, advocacy, and innovative programs, the Library Foundation strengthens the Los Angeles Public Library and promotes greater awareness of its valuable resources.
Our core values—high achievement, accountability, empathy, learning, curiosity, adaptability, partnerships, and collaboration—drive our mission to support the library.
In 2026, Central Library celebrates its 100th anniversary, and LFLA has launched the Centennial Celebration, a multi-year engagement and fundraising initiative of library-inspired events, programming, and giving opportunities designed to engage longtime library champions and new audiences alike.
We are looking for colleagues who share our passion for supporting the Los Angeles Public Library and making a difference in the lives of Angelenos.
Join us in our mission to empower and enrich our community through the promise of our libraries.
