    Job Title: Development Coordinator

    Classification: Full-Time

    Department: Development

    Reports to: Chief Development Officer

    Salary: $45,000

    Purpose of Role: The Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting fundraising activities, donor relations, and event planning for WITS. This position involves engaging with donors, coordinating development operations, managing project timelines, preparing reports, and executing WITS signature events.

    Individual Accountabilities

    • Coordinate logistics and prepare materials for external and internal development meetings.
    • Coordinate timelines, logistics, and vendor management for all organization fundraising events, including WITS Book Bash (spring cocktail fundraiser), Mentor Impact Breakfast (fall corporate cultivation), and other events as needed.
    • Manage timely follow-up with donors after events.
    • Track financials, partner benefits, and corporate invoices.
    • Support planning and logistical needs for donor gatherings led by the Individual Giving Director.
    • Serve as the development lead for donation and event platforms, coordinating with operations and marketing.
    • Collaborate with the Development Manager to support any WITS Summer Books related events or Associates Board support.
    • Maintain accurate donor records and data integrity in Salesforce.
    • Attend Board of Directors and Development Committee quarterly meetings to take minutes and notes.
    • Manage the weekly team meetings agenda and notes.
    • Contribute to weekly and monthly team meetings and reporting.
    • Potential to implement a Workplace Mentoring Program based on business needs.
    • Assist with other projects as assigned.

    • Collaborate with the Development and Marketing & Communications Teams on event execution.
    • Support board-related activities within the Development Department.
    • Collaborate with the Operations Manager on database management and reporting.

    Physical Demands

    • Must be able to bend, squat, and climb stairs daily.
    • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
