Catalyst Exchange is a national nonprofit that helps mission-driven organizations across the education, public, and social sectors build capacity and deepen their impact. We connect leaders to the expertise, tools, and hands-on support they need to drive transformational outcomes for the communities they serve. Through our catalytic model, we empower organizations to solve challenges, strengthen internal capacity, and lead sustainable change—advancing a broader ecosystem of learning, innovation, and collective progress.

To deliver on this mission, our Growth Team focuses on:

    • Telling the story of Catalyst Exchange, its network, and its impact through thought leadership and storytelling
    • Amplifies our message across multiple platforms
    • Develops a strong and cohesive brand identity
    • Executes strategies that expand our reach and grow our base of partners and customers

    Role Overview

The Associate, Brand & Content plays a key role within Catalyst Exchange’s Growth Team by supporting the creation and deployment of written and visual content that elevates our brand and drives engagement across multiple channels. Reporting to the Vice President, Growth (with dotted-line support to the Directors of Channel Marketing and Communications), this role will help build internal and external communications collateral, support lead generation, and amplify storytelling that highlights our partners, providers, and impact.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented communicator who thrives on collaboration, enjoys crafting stories that inspire action, and is eager to grow within a mission-driven organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    Content Development & Storytelling

    • Develop and repurpose written and visual content across channels (website, social media, newsletters, presentations, and email campaigns) to drive awareness and engagement.
    • Support the creation of branded collateral, including one-pagers, slide decks, infographics, and short videos.
    • Translate client and partner stories into authentic, equity-centered narratives that highlight Catalyst Exchange’s mission and outcomes.
    • Maintain consistency in tone, voice, and visual identity across all communications.
    • Collaborate closely with the Growth and Strategy and Services teams to ensure all content supports brand objectives and lead-generation goals.

    Digital Engagement & Brand Presence

    • Assist in managing Catalyst Exchange’s digital footprint by updating website content, drafting social media posts, and supporting campaigns on platforms such as LinkedIn.
    • Use HubSpot or similar CRM tools to support email campaigns and newsletters, track engagement metrics, and refine messaging based on analytics.
    • Support the creation of content libraries and maintain a digital asset repository for organization-wide use.

    Customer Journey & Growth Alignment

    • Contribute to refining the customer journey by identifying key touchpoints, feedback loops, and areas for message improvement.
    • Help execute and test messaging strategies that strengthen engagement and conversion across audiences.
    • Partner with the Growth team to ensure marketing and communication efforts support lead generation and client conversion goals.

    Collaboration & Internal Communications

    • Work closely with the Vice President, Growth, and cross-functional partners to align content with strategic initiatives and campaigns.
    • Partner with the Growth and Strategy & Services teams to ensure one voice across all external-facing materials.
    • Support ad-hoc internal communication needs such as team presentations, event collateral, or leadership updates.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 2–5 years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, or digital content creation (education or nonprofit sector preferred).
    • Familiarity with HubSpot, Canva, Google Suite, and/or other digital marketing tools.
    • Strong understanding of storytelling for social impact, with sensitivity to representing diverse voices.
    • Self-motivated and proactive — able to define your own schedule, stay focused, and drive projects forward without needing close supervision.
