    We are seeking an Impact Monitoring Officer for a 2-year-regular position (renewable) to work within the Strategy, Program, Quality & Risk Management Department at the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, Korea. (Duty station: Seoul, Korea)

    Job Description

    This job is responsible for tracking, assessing, and reporting the health, social, economic, or environmental impacts of the organization’s programs, projects, and initiatives. The role involves setting up and using monitoring tools, data analysis, and impact assessment techniques to evaluate the effectiveness, impact, and outcomes of the organization's overall work towards IVI vision of a healthier world made possible by vaccination, available to everyone, everywhere.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities

    1. Impact Monitoring & Assessment:

    • Design and implement monitoring frameworks and systems to track the impact of IVI programs, projects, and initiatives.
    • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess programs, projects and initiatives outcomes and effectiveness as appropriate.
    • Develop indicators and metrics to measure both short-term and long-term impacts.

    2. Data Collection & Reporting:

    • Oversee the collection of impact data across multiple projects and consolidate at institutional level.
    • Develop and manage databases and spreadsheets for tracking projects and institutional impact in a systematic manner.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations on impact findings for stakeholders, donors, and project teams.
    • Ensure that data is properly documented and stored according to IVI standards and compliance requirements.

    3. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

    • Collaborate with project teams, and external stakeholders to communicate impact findings and lessons learned.
    • Support the Global Affairs and Communication team and the regional offices teams, in the development of communication strategies to share the impact of programs with key stakeholders, including donors and governments.

    4. Collaboration & Support:

    • Support capacity-building initiatives related to impact monitoring, helping staff and stakeholders understand impact evaluation processes and tools.
    • Work closely with the different units and project teams to ensure that impact monitoring activities are aligned with organizational objectives, mission and vision.
    • Contribute, as required, to the development of grant proposals, ensuring that monitoring and impact assessment strategies are well-integrated into project plans.
    • Provide actionable insights based on evaluations to inform decision-making, program design, and institutional strategy.

    Job Requirements and Qualifications

    1. Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree (Statistics, International development, Public Health, Monitoring and Evaluation preferred)
    • Advanced degree (Masters, PhD) preferred

    2. Related Field Work Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, program management, or impact assessment.
    • Experience in designing and implementing monitoring frameworks, including the development of indicators and data collection methods.
    • Experience in grant proposal development and grant reporting preferred.
    • Familiarity with various impact assessment methodologies and tools (e.g., Theory of Change, Results-Based Monitoring, etc.).

    3. Technical and Professional Skills / Knowledge

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in data analysis tools and software.
    • Familiarity with relevant data privacy and ethical standards in impact data collection and reporting.
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
