THE IMMUNIZATION PARTNERSHIP seeks an energetic, personable relationship builder with a
knowledge of and/or background in public health. If you are passionate about the importance of
immunizations, enjoy outreach to diverse groups, thrive in a team environment, comfortable with
public speaking, communicate well both in writing and verbally and don’t mind working hard, you
should talk to us.
ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND
The vision for The Immunization Partnership (TIP) is a community protected from vaccine preventable diseases. TIP’s mission is to advocate for disease prevention using an impactful
network of vaccine champions who promote education and evidence-based public policy on the
health benefits of childhood and adult vaccinations. TIP aspires to be the trusted resource to support
increasing immunization rates to create healthier communities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct outreach to cultivate relationships to advance TIPs mission and mobilize community
partnership to support TIP’s policy initiatives within the communities it serves.
- Ensure TIP’s understanding of community interests, needs, and priorities related to public
health and immunizations
- Strengthen and maintain the connection between TIP’s policy initiatives and its community
engagement programming.
- Provide input, information, and materials supporting internal and external communication
efforts about programming and opportunities.
MUST HAVES
- Strong understanding and/or background in public health
- Skilled public speaker and confident community representative
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and high emotional intelligence
- A commitment to diversity; a personal approach that values the individual and respects
differences of race, ethnicity, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ability
and socio-economic circumstance, and ability to work with diverse individuals within the
organization and broader community
- A confident and professional work style and a faculty for effectively handling stressful
situations
- Dedication to TIP’s mission
- Availability to travel up to 30 percent of the time and work nights and weekends as needed

- Experience in outreach and engagement with diverse communities in Texas
- A personality drawn to relationship building
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Canva preferred
