    International School of Brooklyn (ISB) is an independent, non-profit school that is known for its innovative and robust Pre-K 3 to 8th Grade French and Spanish language immersion program and International Baccalaureate curriculum.     International School of Brooklyn seeks a dynamic, detail-oriented people-person who is passionate about progressive education and language learning to fill the role of Admissions Associate for the school year 2025-2026 and beyond.

    The successful candidate will be creative, eager to learn, with the ability to foster strong relationships within the school and community. This role will report to the Director of Admissions, Enrollment, and Tuition Assistance and will join a team of committed and collaborative colleagues.

    General Summary

    The Admissions Associate is a key member of the Admissions & Enrollment Office who works to deliver a superior experience to applicant families. This position supports the recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts of the Office of Admissions and Enrollment by assisting with the planning, coordinating, and directing of activities designed to attract, enroll, and retain a diverse range of students and families to International School of Brooklyn. The Admissions Associate must work well as a collaborative member of the Admissions team, participate in all Admissions events, and partner with other internal teams to help ensure a successful admissions process for families.

    Essential Duties

    • Serve as one of the primary, outward-facing representatives of the ISB Admissions team to prospective families, peer and feeder school colleagues, faculty, and current students and families;
    • Guide prospective families through the complete admissions process from inquiry to enrollment in an efficient, transparent, friendly, and informative manner;
    • Assist in the planning and execution of all prospective and newly admitted family events, including registration, communication, event logistics, and day of work, occasional evenings and weekends;
    • Manage attendance and communication for all admissions tours;
    • Help maintain admissions files and records in the Veracross database;
    • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with students, families, faculty, administrators, and other members of the ISB community;
    • Represent ISB at all relevant school fairs, meetings, and panels;
    • Coordinate the scheduling of and related communication for prospective student visits, language assessments, applicant playgroups, and parent interviews;
    • Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading monthly Admissions newsletters and other communication;
    • In collaboration with the Director of Admissions, manage the Parent and Student Ambassador Programs, including assisting in training and scheduling of ambassadors;
    • Participate in an interdepartmental Marketing Team, collaborating to achieve strategic brand awareness and cohesive internal and external messaging;
    • Pursue professional development opportunities as appropriate to remain current with best practices; and
    • Perform other related projects and duties as needed and assigned.

    Qualifications and Prerequisite Skills

    • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
    • At least 2 years of previous admissions and/or educational experience, with a preference for experience in independent schools.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to be an effective public speaker who can relate to different audiences.
    • A high degree of organization, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask, keep calm under pressure, and treat everyone with respect.
    • Curiosity, a growth mindset, flexibility, and a good sense of humor.
    • A positive attitude and proactive approach to completing projects, as well as improving processes and procedures.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with a sincere commitment to developing relationships with all constituents of the school community–faculty and staff, students, and parents.
    • Excellent judgment and professionalism; ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in handling admissions information.
    • Proficiency with technology including databases, spreadsheets, and online application platforms; ability to learn new technology and systems commensurate with program requirements.
    • Familiarity with creation of materials in Adobe InDesign or Canva a plus.
    • Reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
    • Commitment and ability to cultivate a welcoming culture in which all members of our community feel valued and appreciated.
    • Ability to communicate in French and/or Spanish a plus.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000. The start date is August 18, 2025.
