Salary Range (Non-Negotiable): $29,276 – $32,529 based on 18.75 hours/week. Position is expected to be funded through August 31, 2028.
As a Program Coordinator for Academic Affairs & Research Education, you will create opportunities for students, volunteers, and researchers to learn about cutting-edge research, build mentoring relationships, and explore or advance faculty-research careers.
Each day you will:

- Design processes, communications, and systems that support a seamless and easy experience for program applicants, awardees, and volunteers

Description
This position provides administrative, technical, and programmatic support for academic, clinical, and research education programs, events, and initiatives undertaken by the Academic Affairs and Research Education (AARE) unit. It helps meet the Association’s objectives for providing programming and resources to faculty, researchers, and students.
Responsibilities
- Provide programmatic support and coordinate meeting planning logistics for assigned AARE award and mentoring programs and Convention programs.
- Coordinate communications and respond to member inquiries, including informational requests, email response tracking, promotional outreach, website updates, and ASHA Community posts.
- Process and maintain program data and databases, including awardee and participant records in customer relationship management system and awards management platform. Track and organize submission forms, generate reports, and support data review workflows.
- Conduct administrative and financial processes, including collecting financial forms, processing requisitions, and tracking expenditures for assigned AARE programs.
- Stay informed about AARE programs to respond to routine inquiries and provide accurate referrals to appropriate resources.
Qualifications
Knowledge Typically Acquired Through
- 1–3 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience communicating with students, faculty, researchers, and/or members of professional associations preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred

- Strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines across varied projects.
- Proficiency with common software platforms and tools (e.g., Office 365, content management systems, financial tracking systems, databases, and award/mentoring platforms).
- Demonstrated ability to write and speak clearly and professionally; capable of independently drafting correspondence and technical documents.
- Skilled in using technology to organize, track, and execute work efficiently.
