Position: Childcare & Parenting Support Specialist

Location: Riverside, New Jersey/ Bronx, NY/ Staten Island, NY

Schedule: NJ 12pm-8pm/ Bronx 9am-5pm/ Staten Island 9am-5pm / times may vary

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly or twice monthly

What You’ll Do:

• Create and maintain a warm, supportive, and safe environment for children in our care.
• Provide hands-on parenting support and training to mothers, empowering them with essential childcare skills.
• Collaborate with the house team to help residents build self-sufficiency and confidence.
• Develop and lead daily activities that nurture children’s social, emotional, and intellectual growth — including story time, arts and crafts, music, and interactive play.
• Support children in building positive habits related to personal care, sharing, and responsibility.
• Ensure a clean and safe daycare space, including diapering, changing clothing, and supervising meal, rest, and toileting routines.
• Document children’s progress and communicate with parents and staff as needed.
• Assist house staff with additional tasks when appropriate.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
