    Responsibilities

Individual Giving, Major Gifts, and Donor Relations

    • Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective individual donors, including major-gift prospects, parents and families, alumni, and other members of YPC’s community.
    • Work with the senior team to identify, research, qualify, and prioritize individual donor prospects and develop personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
    • Maintain a consistent portfolio of proactive donor outreach, making a minimum of [X] substantive phone calls each week to constituents and prospects for the purposes of prospect qualification, donor cultivation and stewardship, gift acknowledgment, solicitation, and relationship building.
    • Plan and implement individual giving campaigns, including annual and seasonal appeals, direct mail, email, and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.
    • Draft compelling donor-facing materials, including solicitation letters, appeal copy, acknowledgments, invitations, updates, and other fundraising communications.
    • Ensure timely, accurate, and thoughtful acknowledgment of gifts and pledges, and coordinate donor follow-up and stewardship.
    • Maintain accurate donor records, interactions, gift information, and next steps in Salesforce; generate mailing lists, reports, and other information to support fundraising strategy.
    • Work with colleagues and board members to identify introductions, strengthen donor relationships, and expand YPC’s individual giving network.
    • Attend YPC performances and other activities as appropriate to cultivate and steward donors.

    Events and Donor Engagement

    • Help coordinate and execute YPC’s annual gala and other fundraising, donor cultivation, and stewardship events, including receptions, board dinners, alumni gatherings, and special events.
    • Develop event trackers, checklists, run-of-show documents, guest lists, seating plans, staffing plans, and volunteer assignments.
    • Coordinate event logistics with venues, caterers, vendors, consultants, hosts, speakers, performers, volunteers, and YPC staff; review contracts and help manage event costs against budgets.
    • Manage invitations, RSVPs, attendee information, registration, ticket distribution, guest communications, and post-event follow-up.
    • Coordinate event materials and collateral, including digital invitations, signage, name tags, programs, donor and sponsor listings, auction materials, and honoree or VIP gifts.
    • Create and maintain event pages and campaigns on fundraising platforms; coordinate with marketing and design colleagues on event communications and materials.
    • Track event expenses, assist with reconciliation and reporting, and evaluate event processes to support effective planning in future years.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Comfort with digital fundraising, email marketing, and event platforms; familiarity with tools such as Mailchimp, Canva, and Give Lively is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to changing needs, and handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Commitment to YPC’s mission and values, including creating an inclusive environment for young people and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
