    Program Coordinator

    Job Summary

    The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of Greater Boston seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Program Coordinator to support the K-12 Educational Partnerships initiative and our Holocaust programming.

    This position provides administrative, operational, programmatic, and stakeholder engagement support to the Director of Educational Partnerships and Impact, helping advance JCRC's efforts to foster welcoming and inclusive school environments for Jewish students and promote accurate and inclusive education about Jews, Judaism, Jewish history, Israel, and contemporary antisemitism.

    The position will also provide administrative and operational support to JCRC's commemorative and educational Holocaust programming, overseeing the volunteer docent tour program for the New England Holocaust Memorial (NEHM) and supporting commemorative events, including Yom HaShoah.

    The Program Coordinator will help manage the day-to-day operations of these initiatives, coordinate meetings and events, maintain stakeholder communications, support outreach efforts, manage program data, and assist with special projects and educational programming. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys project coordination, and is passionate about education and community engagement.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program and Administrative Support

      • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director of K-12 Educational Partnerships and Impact.
      • Maintain project plans, program calendars, timelines, and tracking systems to ensure successful execution of initiative goals.
      • Prepare agendas, meeting materials, presentations, reports, and follow-up communications.
      • Draft, review, and distribute correspondence on behalf of the Director.
      • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for meetings with educators, community leaders, public officials, and partner organizations.
      • Assist with data collection, reporting, and grant-related documentation.

    Stakeholder Engagement and Coalition Support

      • Support outreach and relationship management efforts with school districts, educators, parents, Jewish communal organizations, and community partners.
      • Maintain and update stakeholder databases and contact information, including Salesforce and other tracking systems.
      • Coordinate meetings and communications for coalitions, advisory committees, and working groups.
      • Track action items and support follow-up activities resulting from stakeholder meetings and convenings.
      • Assist in developing and implementing parent and community engagement strategies.

    Programmatic and Event Coordination

      • Coordinate educational programs, professional development workshops, trainings, convenings, and community events.
      • Manage event logistics, including venue arrangements, registrations, materials preparation, catering, name badges, and participant communications.
      • Support programs delivered in partnership with organizations such as the Institute for Curriculum Services (ICS), Facing History and Ourselves, and other educational partners.
      • Ensure smooth coordination of New England Holocaust Memorial tours and oversee the volunteer docent program
      • Support preparation and execution of Yom HaShoah program

    Communications and Research

      • Collaborate with communications staff to support marketing and communications efforts related to the initiative.
      • Assist in maintaining educational resource libraries, toolkits, and curriculum materials for educators and community stakeholders.

    Other Duties

      • Provide support for JCRC-wide programs and initiatives as needed.
      • Participate in team meetings and contribute to cross-departmental projects.
      • Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support organizational priorities.

    Qualifications

    Required

      • Bachelor's degree.
      • 2-4 years of professional experience in program coordination, education, nonprofit administration, community relations, public affairs, or a related field.
      • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
      • Ability to engage thoughtfully and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
      • Strong project management and follow-through skills.
      • Commitment to the mission and values of JCRC Greater Boston.

    Preferred

      • Experience working in K-12 education, education policy, community engagement, advocacy, or nonprofit settings.
      • Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM platform.
      • Experience coordinating meetings, events, and stakeholder engagement activities.
      • Understanding of the Greater Boston Jewish community.
      • Knowledge of issues related to antisemitism, diversity, equity, inclusion, and civic education.
      • Experience supporting coalitions, committees, or advisory groups.

    Schedule Requirements

    This position follows JCRC's hybrid work model and requires in-office attendance on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and remote work on Thursday and Fridays. This position might require occasional evening and weekend commitments for programs, meetings, and community events.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Salary range: $55,000-$60,000, commensurate with experience.
    • This job is hybrid: in office Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday required
