Position Summary
This position involves assisting with a range of research support tasks (participant payments, scheduling, data collection, and data reporting) for a behavioral health workforce development and education center at the University of Illinois Chicago. The center is focused on developing and providing training for behavioral health workers in Illinois and will engage community partners and behavioral health providers to plan, implement, and evaluate training initiatives. The research associate will assist with data collection from workgroups, meeting planning, stipend processing, and other tasks as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform surveys, interviews, observations, or use other methods according to established research protocols, including the collection of data on participants and behavioral health provider needs.
Prepare data for analysis and execute the details of studies. Perform analysis and document results.
Conduct literature searches.
Assistance with entering and formatting surveys in online platforms.
Coordinate and track participant stipend payment
Order study supplies and maintain inventories.
Support outreach to provider groups and community members, and schedule focus groups and workgroups.
Maintain detailed records of results and prepare written reports.
Maintain and process required paperwork.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social science, public health, or related field required.
Knowledge of fundamental research concepts, practices, and procedures.
Entry-level knowledge of research methods.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Some business coursework or advanced research coursework
Strong quantitative skills and knowledge of commonly used spreadsheet programs.
