    Summary

Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area is seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Wish Volunteer Associate to join our team. Volunteers are the backbone of making wishes come true with over 800 volunteers throughout our 17-county territory supporting the mission in ways: helping to determine a child’s heartfelt wish; working a fundraising event; providing skills and project-based support just as a few examples. The Wish Volunteer Associate reports to the Director of Wish Alumni and Volunteer Services, and part of the Wish Alumni and Volunteer Services Department. This full-time, non-exempt/hourly position is currently required to work in our Oakland office at least 2 days a week (Tuesday & Wednesday) as part of our hybrid work model.

Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area is a wish granting organization. Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Our Chapter serves children from Monterey to the Oregon border and works with more than 600 families per year. Each wish is unique and is the dream of a child battling a critical illness. The resulting smiles speak volumes to the healing effects of a wish come true. Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that fulfills the wishes of children between the ages of 2-1/2 and 18 who have critical illnesses. Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area was founded in 1984 and has fulfilled the wishes of more than 10,000 children in its 42-year history. The Greater Bay Area chapter is headquartered in Oakland and serves 17 Northern California counties.
