    Position

    Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Employment Coordinator will assist in administering One On One’s Employment Program by providing one-on-one employment coaching and case management services with the goal of helping participants find, prepare for, and retain long-term employment. In addition to providing direct one-on-one services, the Coordinator will support the Director of Programs with data tracking, monitoring, and reporting requirements. The Coordinator will lead the screening and enrollment processes for new participants joining programs. The Coordinator will also support engagement with local employers and community stakeholders to expand job placement pipelines and to maintain up-to-date resources.

In addition to one-on-one coaching, participants complete soft skills training to learn how to de-escalate conflict, communicate clearly and effectively, and to make informed and consistent decisions.     Responsibilities

    Employment Coaching and Support 60 %

    • Meet with clients for one-on-one sessions focused on employment, conducting activities including but not limited to: writing resumes, completing job applications, coaching for interviews, career planning and goal setting, and supporting soft skills development in communication, conflict resolution, and decision making
    • Create, execute, and oversee personalized employment plans
    • Identify individualized employment leads for each client assigned, providing referrals to educational, training, and other social services as needed
    • Screen eligible clients for job placement opportunities, providing industry specific coaching to prepare clients for interviews or trial shifts
    • Collaborate directly with hiring managers at partner companies to ensure successful placements
    • Create and maintain up-to-date resources including job leads, training and resource referrals, and soft skills materials to equip participants with comprehensive support throughout their employment journey
    • Continuously encourage and motivate clients to work on their job search outside of coaching meetings

    Program Administrative Support and General Duties 30%

    • Support intake triage and enrollment assignments by reviewing all interest forms and working with the Director of Programs to allocate new participants based on caseload assignments
    • Actively participate in weekly case conferences with program staff
    • Lead pre-enrollment activities including participant screening and first-round interviews for subsidized work programs
    • Assist with program data tracking and reporting requirements, including maintaining accurate records in Salesforce and contributing to grant compliance documentation in a timely manner, utilizing grant tracking CRMs where necessary
    • Report weekly and monthly data as required to maintain accurate program-based statistics and grant requirements
    • Program work may require on-site location at partner sites throughout the city or remotely for satellite cohorts, candidate is required to have reliable transportation to access multiple programming locations
    • Adhere to all One On One policies and procedures
    • Other duties as assigned

    Community Outreach and Engagement 10%

    • Engage local employers and community stakeholders to establish and expand job placement pipelines, strengthening long-term collaborations that benefit program participants
    • Meet monthly participant recruitment goals by reaching out to community partners and developing an active recruitment strategy
    • Develop relationships with local employers, including businesses, nonprofits, and public sector organizations to establish ongoing employment opportunities for One On One participants
    • Lead specialized program enrollment opportunities by working with internal staff, community partners, and employers to promote enrollment dates

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of workforce development or direct service nonprofit experience strongly preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required
    • Exceptional ability to build relationships with program participants and community stakeholders
    • Demonstrated track record of using data management to enhance program effectiveness
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including effective time management and the ability to work and make decisions independently
    • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and continuously contribute to team objectives in the face of evolving priorities
    • Experience preparing and giving presentations to diverse audiences
    • Excellent multi-tasking and detail-orientation skills
    • Proven ability to maintain confidential information and exercise discretion
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite, Salesforce proficiency a bonus
    • Experience with Illinois WorkNet platform strongly preferred
    • Advanced Excel proficiency required

    One On One offers an exciting opportunity to a nonprofit professional. This position reports directly to the Director of Programs. One On One offers generous time off including 11 paid holidays and an all office paid closure from December 24thJanuary 1st, employer sponsored medical and dental insurance, and 401(K) options with a 3% employer match subject to vesting schedule.

    This is a Full-time exempt position and is on-site at our offices located at 4655 S King Drive, Suite 202, Chicago, IL 60653.

    Compensation

    The salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000.
