    Corsi-Rosenthal Foundation - Operations Director (20-30 hours/week)

    Location: Remote in U.S.

    About the Foundation

    The Corsi-Rosenthal Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving human health by promoting clean indoor air and supplying air cleaners to those in need. We focus on supporting communities through grants and education on the benefits of clean indoor air.

    Since our founding, we have provided thousands of Corsi-Rosenthal boxes to schools, community centers, veterans’ halls, nonprofits and other local community groups, bringing cleaner air to tens of thousands of individuals. Our impact has been recognized by media outlets and supported by major partners like 3M.

    Position Summary

    The Operations Director will be responsible for leading operations, programs, fundraising, and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Operations Director will oversee the Foundation’s four core programs:

    • Classroom STEM Kits - Providing educational kits for teachers to lead a mini unit on indoor air quality and CR Boxes
    • Small Grants Program – Providing air purifiers to organizations to create small-scale success stories and catalyze broader adoption
    • Rapid Response Program – Supporting urgent clean air needs
    • University Partnerships – Seeding clean air programs at state universities to spread DIY air purifiers across the region

    The ideal candidate is a high-agency generalist who can scale multiple aspects of an organization in parallel.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Leadership & Grant Management

    • Oversee and grow the Classroom STEM Kits & Small Grants Program, ensuring efficient review and distribution of grants.
    • Qualify grant requests based on board-approved criteria and present them to the Board for approval.
    • Coordinate with operational partner personnel to fulfill grant obligations (materials, shipping, and logistics).
    • Monitor our Texas Project where CR Boxes have been implemented at three schools and air quality measurements are being taken.

    Fundraising & Resource Development

    • Identify and pursue grant opportunities, corporate sponsorships, and philanthropic partnerships.
    • Oversee the stewardship of major donors and funding organizations.
    • Collaborate with the Board to implement a long-term funding strategy for sustainability.

    Operations & Strategic Growth

    • Lead program development and expansion
    • Manage partnerships with school districts, universities, and private sector collaborators.
    • Develop and implement systems to track and measure program outcomes effectively.

    Communications & Advocacy

    • Manage the Foundation’s website and public outreach, ensuring regular updates on impact stories and initiatives.
    • Serve as the Foundation’s public spokesperson, representing the organization in media, conferences, and community events.
    • Engage in policy advocacy to promote clean indoor air initiatives nationwide.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Ability to oversee program execution, budgeting, and operations.
    • Ability to write grant proposals, fundraising pitches, and support fundraising efforts.
    • Ability to drive partnerships with educational, government, and corporate institutions.
    • Strong communication and marketing skills, with experience in storytelling and advocacy.
    • Passion for public health, clean air initiatives, and equity in education.
