We are dedicated to empowering students in grades 9–12 to achieve academic, social, and career success. Our non-traditional, competency-based program centers on building relationships, hands-on learning, and helping every student discover their unique path. LMACS serves a diverse student body—many of whom are over-age and under-credited—within a supportive, close-knit community where students are known, valued, and encouraged to thrive. Our mission-driven environment embraces each student’s personal and cultural identity and is committed to equity, inclusion, and preparing students for life after high school.

      • Assess and support students’ academic growth, ensuring readiness for state testing and graduation requirements.
    • Advisory & Student Support:
      • Serve as an Advisor for 15–20 students, building strong relationships with students and families to support their academic, personal, and social development.
      • Lead daily Advisory meetings, fostering a positive, goal-oriented group culture.
      • Guide students through Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs), career exploration, and personal growth.
      • Provide one-on-one coaching and small-group support around academics, social-emotional skills, and self-advocacy.
      • Support students in internships, service projects, and real-world learning experiences.
    • Collaboration & School Culture:
      • Work closely with faculty, staff, and the Student Support Team to ensure student success.
      • Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school-wide events.
      • Contribute to a collaborative, community-driven school culture focused on continuous improvement and student well-being.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred (Education, STEM, Humanities, Counseling, Social Work, or related field).
    • Teaching license or eligibility to obtain Massachusetts Educator License within one year of hire.
    • Experience working with diverse student populations, especially over-age, under-credited youth or in alternative education.
    • Strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed educational practices.
    • Experience with project-based learning, competency-based education, or advisory models is a plus.
    • Excellent relationship-building, coaching, and communication skills.
