    About the Global Leadership Programme

The Global Leadership Programme is an immersive leadership development experience for recent graduates or early-career professionals who want to grow through real responsibility, international experience and meaningful impact.

For 3-6 months, you'll live in one of our international hub locations alongside our experienced in-country teams. You will receive structured leadership development and mentorship while putting those skills into practice every day - leading school and university groups, working across cultures, navigating challenges and actively contributing to community-led projects.

    Your role

Mentor others. Contribute to communities. Grow as a leader.

You will be based on one of our overseas hubs as a Group Mentor and Project Implementor. You will work alongside our in-country team contributing to projects across education, health and livelihoods, and gain real responsibility as you lead our project participants on their journey to becoming global citizens.

    Responsibilities in a nutshell:

    • Take the lead: Guide your group of project participants through immersive and exciting cultural activities, fostering a profound appreciation for local traditions, languages, and customs.
    • Make an impact: Coordinating and delivering impactful project activities with our local partners, all aligned with FutureSense Foundations values and mission.
    • Facilitate learning: Engage your group in reflective discussions and interactive sessions to foster personal growth, leadership skills, and self-confidence among the participants.
    • Champion change: Monitoring project inputs, outputs, and impacts to ensure our projects make a lasting difference.

    What you'll gain

Alongside developing hands-on leadership experience through your day-to-day work, you’ll receive structured guidance, mentorship and support as you work towards developing your leadership capabilities.

This combination of experience will increase your:

    • Confidence, resilience and adaptability
    • Cross-cultural communication and facilitation skills
    • Global network of connections in the sector
    • Understanding of who you are as a leader - and where you want to go next

This isn't a short-term volunteer trip or a traditional graduate internship. It's your first step towards a career with purpose.

    Could this be you?

    Curious • Purpose-driven • Resilient • Adaptable • Independent • People-focused

    You'll also have:

    • An undergraduate degree (or equivalent)
    • Fluency in English
    • Experience travelling or living overseas
    • Availability for a 3–6 month full-time placement

    Package details

You'll be responsible for international flights to and from your placement, as well as any required visa and travel insurance costs. You'll indicate your preferred hub locations during the application process, with final placement based on programme needs.

    Benefits:

    • You will receive a stipend of $200 USD / month towards your living costs
    • Free accommodation at the hub
    • Free meals when working with groups
    • Phone allowance (monthly data)
