    Save the Marginalized Uganda

    Save the Marginalized Uganda is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for and uplifting the lives of marginalized communities. Through innovative media advocacy and strategic communications, the organization works to raise awareness and drive social change on issues ranging from children’s rights to community development and mental health.

    Internship Overview

    We are seeking passionate and creative media interns for our Global Impact Internship 2025. This summer opportunity is designed for students and early-career professionals eager to gain hands-on experience in social impact communications while working across international borders.

    Internship Details

    Duration: Summer 2025 (proposed datesjuly1 – December 31, 2025)

    Format: Hybrid and on site – While interns will collaborate virtually, applicants must be based in California, Europe There will also be opportunities to connect with our associated community in Kamuli, Uganda.

    Time Commitment: 10–30 hours per week, with flexibility to work on a project-based schedule

    Focus Areas:

    Media fundraising and content development

    Social media marketing and digital storytelling of marginalized

    Strategic communications to drive social impact

    Community and stakeholder engagement

    Key Responsibilities

    Develop and curate engaging multimedia content to support Save the Marginalized’s campaigns.

    Assist in the creation and execution of digital media strategies that amplify the voices and stories of marginalized communities.

    Collaborate with team members to design innovative campaigns that highlight local initiatives and global challenges.

    Contribute to internal projects, including research, editing, and data visualization, to support broader communications goals.

    Participate in regular virtual team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and progress reviews to ensure cohesive messaging across platforms.

    Who Should Apply?

    Students or early-career professionals with a background in media, communications, marketing, journalism, or digital content creation.

    Individuals with a passion for social justice, community development, and global impact.

    Creative self-starters who are comfortable working both independently and as part of a multicultural team.

    Applicants should be proficient in digital tools and social media platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, social media management tools) and have strong writing and editing skills.
