Arrival & Orientation
Upon landing at Kathmandu (KTM), a coordinator welcomes you. Orientation includes:

Kathmandu city tour (Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath)
Accommodation & Meals
Stay with a host family or guesthouse during orientation, then move to a local host near your hospital internship placement. Expect simple, comfortable rooms and delicious Nepali meals 2 times a day. Village homes may have limited facilities but offer an authentic cultural experience.
Getting to the Site
Travel by scenic public bus to your medical elective placement. A coordinator guides you to your assigned hospital or health center.
Typical Day
Your day starts with morning tea and breakfast before heading to your placement. Interns work 4–6 hours a day, six days a week, gaining valuable clinical experience and hands-on training while exploring local culture during free time.
