    Position Summary:

    The Leadership Development Intern will support Trinity’s Leadership Development team by contributing to key initiatives focused on faith leadership, fellowship programming, grantmaking, and organizational effectiveness. This part-time, in-person internship is designed for an undergraduate student who is curious, collaborative, and eager to explore how faith-informed leadership can strengthen communities. Working on-site Tuesday through Thursday, the intern will assist with research, program development, data management, and event preparation across several interconnected projects.

    The intern will play an active role in strengthening the Trinity Leadership Fellows Society of Fellows through research on comparable programs and on the characteristics of strong fellowship communities. They will also contribute to the Faith Leadership Campus by supporting updates to course reading lists and identifying relevant academic or practitioner materials. Within the Trinity Leadership Fellows program, the intern will assist with recruitment strategy, generating ideas to enhance interfaith engagement, and supporting planning for September programs and gatherings.

    In addition, the intern will help advance the team’s technology and administrative systems by providing support for HubSpot CRM migration tasks, organizing shared resources within SharePoint, and assisting with general coordination needs. The intern will also gain exposure to Trinity’s grantmaking work by supporting LM site visit logistics, documentation, and follow up.

    This role offers a hands-on learning experience in leadership development, program coordination, and philanthropy within a mission-driven environment committed to fostering strong, diverse, and interfaith communities.

    Hours Per Week: 21 hours a week | Tuesday - Thursday 9am - 5pm| Pay Rate: $20 an hour

    To be considered, you must be a student enrolled in an undergraduate program. The Internship will run from June 1st, 2026- July 31st, 2026.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct research to support the Trinity Leadership Fellows Society of Fellows, including reviewing comparable programs and identifying characteristics of strong fellowship communities.
    • Contribute to the Faith Leadership Campus by updating course reading lists and gathering relevant academic or practitioner materials.
    • Support recruitment efforts for the Trinity Leadership Fellows program, including outreach to potential mentors and speakers and brainstorming strategies to strengthen interfaith engagement and program growth.
    • Contribute to event‑planning efforts, including preparation for September program activities and gatherings.
    • Assist with CRM and data management tasks, including HubSpot data support and migration activities.
    • Develop and implement an organizational system for shared program documents and resources within SharePoint.
    • Support grantmaking and philanthropic activities by attending Lower Manhattan grantee site visits and completing due‑diligence work on potential future partners.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Activities:

    • Strong research and critical‑thinking abilities, with the capacity to gather information, identify themes, and clearly summarize findings.
    • Interest in leadership development, community‑focused work, or related fields, with curiosity about how organizations support learning and collaboration.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including preparing clear summaries, supporting team communications, and assisting with program materials.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage positively with a variety of internal and external partners.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in maintaining shared materials and assisting with planning tasks.
    • Comfort with digital tools and online collaboration platforms, with a willingness to learn new systems as needed.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities during busy periods or event preparation.
    • Willingness to participate in occasional off‑site activities, such as team visits or external meetings.
    • Enthusiasm for learning, taking initiative, asking questions, and contributing ideas that support program growth and team effectiveness.

    Required and Preferred Education, Experience, and Credentials:

    Required:

    • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited college or university.
    • Demonstrated interest in leadership development, community engagement, philanthropy, or related fields.
    • Basic experience conducting research, writing summaries, or supporting project‑based work in an academic or professional setting.
    • Comfort working in person on a part‑time schedule (Tuesday–Thursday).

    Preferred:

    • Coursework or prior experience related to nonprofit work, faith studies, social sciences, or organizational leadership.
    • Familiarity with collaboration tools or digital platforms used for research, communication, or organizing shared materials.
    • Experience supporting events, outreach efforts, or administrative tasks through campus organizations or previous internships.
    • Interest in interfaith engagement, social impact, or grantmaking as part of future academic or career exploration.
