About the Position
The Global Initiatives Intern will play an integral role in the support and execution of NASPA international webinars, conferences, and constituent groups’ virtual engagement events for the Global Initiatives unit. The Intern will work with the Director of Global Initiatives and Engagement, remotely. The primary purpose of the Global Initiatives unit is to represent and support the professional development global of NASPA members. The Global Division advances international student affairs issues, advocating for intercultural competency and global awareness throughout the association and in the field of student affairs around the world and advocates for global education and preparing and implementing programs that support student development and professional development worldwide.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative, creative self-starter who can work independently. This is a hands-on internship that will require working as part of a team. The individual in this role will need to complete a wide range of activities requiring clear, effective communication, critical thinking, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail. Knowledge and experience with web page development and video editing preferred.
The ideal candidate for this virtual position will be available 10 hours per week (160 hours) during the fall semester February 15, 2026 - July 31, 2026.

It is the employee’s responsibility to provide reliable internet capabilities for any work location outside of the Washington, D.C. office.
Physical Requirements
This position is primarily office-based with primary work on a computer, including phone, email, and video conferencing.
Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines and support events and programs.
