Summer Internship Opportunity: Database & Outreach Intern

Stipend: $500 | Remote | Flexible Hours

The Cider Institute is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the development and management of our Cider Production Certificate Program database. This role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, strategic communications, and engagement with a national network of cider producers.

The intern will work directly with the Executive Director on a range of outreach and administrative tasks designed to strengthen our educational programming and expand our industry impact.

Position Details:

• Estimated Time Commitment: 5–10 hours per week
• Duration: Minimum 2-month commitment
• Location: Fully remote
• Schedule: Flexible and can be adapted to your availability

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a contact database in collaboration with the Executive Director
• Reach out to past students about continuing education opportunities
• Track career progress and success stories of alumni
• Assist with outreach to industry stakeholders and potential collaborators
• Contribute to general certification program administration
• Support outreach via email, social media, and other communication platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest in cider, food and beverage, or agricultural industries
• Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, MailChimp, SurveyMonkey, or Adobe Creative Cloud
• Experience with databases and digital organization tools
• Excellent communication and writing skills; social media experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
