    Position Summary:

Trinity Church is an Episcopal parish in New York City, founded in 1697. We work for justice, serve our neighbors, and bring people together to experience God’s love in community. Trinity’s outreach in the city includes 20 weekly worship services, food assistance seven days a week for people in need, support for asylum seekers, housing for the elderly and people living with disabilities, youth programs, and a wide array of free music and educational events throughout the year.

Trinity Church Philanthropies embodies our longstanding commitment to serving our neighbors and strengthening the ability of faith institutions to meet the needs of their own communities. Across New York City, our Housing and Homelessness initiative helps break cycles of housing insecurity and mass homelessness, while our Racial Justice initiative supports healthy minds, safe communities, and educational opportunities for Black and brown youth. Our Lower Manhattan grantmaking supports the well-being of communities south of 14th Street. Across the Episcopal Church nationally and the Anglican Communion globally, our Leadership Development initiative builds the skills of the next generation of faith leaders, while our Mission Real Estate Development initiative empowers churches to build financial capacity and enhance community impact.

The Intern will support Trinity Church Philanthropies’ Racial Justice Initiative, helping advance safe and healthy educational opportunities for Black and brown youth across New York City. Reporting to the Program Officer, the Intern will assist with early-stage research on grantee mapping, provide event planning and logistical support, and help create materials and communications for small grantee convenings in the summer and fall. Responsibilities also include basic data tracking and other entry-level operational tasks that support efficient grantmaking. There may be opportunities to contribute to projects across Philanthropy initiatives, such as broader grantee landscape analyses. This position offers exposure to philanthropy, community-based work, and program operations within a mission-driven organization.
