The Mayan League is seeking a Grants Research Intern to join our growing team! The Grants Research Intern’s primary responsibility will be to support the Development Associate in grants prospecting and research. The Grants Research Intern can have a flexible schedule and this can be a remote position. If the ideal candidate is located in Piscataway Nation Territory (Washington, DC metro region), you will have access to our co-working space at Eaton House.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Development Associate, the Grants Research Intern will play a key role in prospecting and research for funding to support the International Mayan League and its programs. Program Details:
The Grants Research Internship provides an opportunity to learn from Indigenous leadership, increase knowledge in human rights, expand professional networks, and obtain hands-on experience in grants research, communication, collaboration, and project management. As an intern, you will be afforded opportunities to participate in capacity building initiatives with other development professionals. By learning with leaders in the philanthropic space you can expand your network while supporting the Maya and other Indigenous communities with the Mayan League team. Internships are available on both full- and part-time basis. Students may arrange to obtain academic credit for their work and can receive recommendation letters upon successfully completing the internship. We are able to offer remote office contributions for internet service. Start date immediately.
