Abortion Positive Fundraising and Development Intern

Position Summary

Abortion Positivity Project is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Fundraising and Development Intern to support our development team. This intern will help us grow and engage our donor base, assist in donor communications, and help plan creative fundraising campaigns that reflect our values and mission. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in nonprofit development, fundraising, and reproductive justice work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with donor research, data entry, and database maintenance
• Help draft and edit donor communications, such as thank-you emails, fundraising appeals, and newsletters
• Support the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns
• Research fundraising trends and potential funding opportunities (e.g., small grants, partnerships, donors aligned with abortion access work)
• Collaborate with the communications team to ensure fundraising materials align with campaign messaging and branding

Qualifications

• Passion for abortion.
• Strong writing, editing, and research skills. Copywriting experience is a plus.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, or CRM tools (or willing to learn)
• Willingness to learn about donor engagement, nonprofit operations, and ethical fundraising
• Clear communicator with a collaborative attitude

Compensation/Expectations

• This internship will last from June through August.
• Interns are expected to work 10-15 hours per week.
• Weekly professional training in various non-profit fields.
• College credit or a small stipend are available
