Ballet Etude is a nonprofit ballet company founded in 2022 in Rexburg, Idaho, by co-directors Madissen Fujimoto and Kiersten Lewis. Located in a rural community often underserved in the arts, Ballet Etude was created to shape the future of ballet in Rexburg by providing exceptional training, performance opportunities, and meaningful artistic experiences to dancers of all ages and backgrounds.
Our mission is to offer high-quality, accessible ballet education while cultivating a deep love for classical ballet. We serve youth, adults, and advanced dancers through a range of programs-including open classes, community outreach, and a semi-professional company designed to give elite-level dancers professional-caliber experience close to home. Our training is based on the renowned methodology of Marcia Dale Weary, focusing on strong technique, artistic expression, and disciplined growth.
Since our founding, Ballet Etude has grown into a local hub for dance education and performance. We have staged full-length productions, built a strong and passionate community of dancers and families, and remain committed to expanding arts access in rural Idaho.
We believe ballet should be both excellent and inclusive-and we’re proud to bring that vision to life right here in Rexburg.
