Despite facing daunting challenges, these women are leading a grassroots movement that aims to secure a brighter future for the women of Afghanistan.

Our movement is driven by a commitment to gender equality, human rights, and the belief that Women of Afghanistan deserve to live free from violence and discrimination, with access to education, employment, and active participation in the social, political, and economic spheres of their country. Despite immense challenges, DEFAW tirelessly advocates for Afghan women's rights, ensuring their voices and aspirations are heard globally and not overlooked or abandoned.
