Shri Krupa Dance Company’s objective is to promote arts among Indian communities in the United States. Shri Krupa is a South Indian classical dance (Bharatanatyam) school having taught thousands of students aged four and up since its founding in 1977, with the larger aim of disseminating Indian culture worldwide. Students and the Artistic Director have performed in schools, museums, temples, theaters, and countless other venues, won prizes in competitions in many countries, and been the subjects of numerous international journalistic profiles, including on KQED and the San Jose Mercury News.
