PHS Inc has severla programs under our umbrella. The most notable is Akoma Rites of Passage journey is a journey for youth aged 9 to 16 years of age. The journey embraces the teachings for self-awareness and self-respect. The journey runs on a 7 session program cycle. During this cycle the participants (affectionately known as princes and princesses) are coupled with a mentor. Mentoring affords the youth the opportunity to have some guidance from an outside individual who has their best interest at heart. The mentor can assist with the navigation of life, ideas and dreams.

The teachings will be held weekly with a variety of topics such as but not limited to: journaling, healthy living and relationships. The culmination of the rites of passage will be a cultural trip.
