Open Gate Transitional Services of Florida Inc

Open Gate Transitional Services of Florida, Inc. is dedicated to providing access to resources, vocational and educational assistance, and a safe, stable place to live for those who are homeless, returning citizens, and veterans.

At Open Gate, we believe in second chances and building pathways to success. We serve individuals who are too often overlooked — returning citizens, veterans, and those experiencing homelessness. Our programs focus on housing, reentry support, vocational training, and community empowerment.

We are currently working to expand transitional housing opportunities in Jacksonville, launch community gardens to fight food insecurity, and provide advocacy for incarcerated individuals and their families. We also support veterans by helping them access the benefits they have earned, including those still incarcerated.

Volunteers are at the heart of this work — from mentoring and outreach, to helping us grow food, plan events, and provide direct support to families. Together, we are creating healthier communities and stronger futures.
