Bulera Millennium Child Ministries

Hello there! My name is Bulera, and I run a non-government charity organisation which aims to improve the lives of poor orphaned Street and vulnerable children who have seen their lives negatively affected by H.I.V./AIDS, Domestic Violence ,Child labor , Wars many of whom suffer from visual, hearing and physical disabilities. Our organisation provides education, counselling and home tracing for the families of these street children. We also do our best in providing shelter/ Fostering and rehabilitation for these kids, and provide assistance for some of the drug addicted children into reconstructing them into better citizens. We believe that together we can make a better place for the vulnerable children of Uganda. We currently take care of 150 children and a community based program of 300 children. Provision of basic needs and support to all these children is our major problem since we consist of a small group of volunteers, so our hope is to get as much help as possible from volunteers (both locally and abroad) to help develop the project and provide the basic necessities that these children deserve. We hope to work with you in the lines of providing knowledge of self esteem, self confidence, counselling and guidance to the orphans by constructing a flexible and empowered life skilled program for the growth and development of the children. These include individual assessments, preparing foods and drinks, teaching etc. Your input is also very important to us, as this will help us learn and develop our project!
