In 2014, Rolanda, the founder's husband of 19 years tragically died in their house fire. With 5 children, the youngest a 15 year old daughter struggled to make sense of it all. She searched for resources to help her daughter and herself cope with the loss of their loved one. Resources were not as easy to find, but eventually they would come across GriefShare and Christian works Camp Erin. The camp provided a 3 day free grief camp for children ages 5-18 who had suffered the loss of close loved ones for her daughter at no cost, and Griefshare provided a face to face support group for adults. Both of these resources were life changing. Rolanda would become and advocate to help others. We adopted a nursing facility, providing care packages twice a year Spring and Winter. We have annually been a Toys 4 Tots distributor and provided families in poverty shopping extravaganzas during our Annual Another Man's Treasure Event serving over 120 people in need with free furniture, clothing, groceries and much more! We have been keynote speakers at Goodwill of North Texas, Grace Like Rain, and a host of other organizations providing hope. We've continued to serve our nonprofit partners by highlighting nonprofits of the week and creating space for their organizations to connect with those they can impact. We are truly honored to serve.
