Founded in Philadelphia in 1971 as one of the first rape crisis centers in America, WOAR is a vital non-profit organization dedicated to addressing sexual violence in our society. We provide free, confidential, and comprehensive sexual assault counseling and advocacy services, community and professional educational programs, medical and court accompaniment, and outreach to the various communities in Philadelphia.
Our mission is:
WOAR is a non-profit organization in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania whose mission is to eliminate all forms of sexual violence through specialized treatment services, comprehensive prevention education programs, and advocacy for the rights of victims of sexual assault.
WOAR provides FREE services to Anyone who has experienced sexual violence.
