The Main Idea at Camp Walden

Founded in 1968 The Main Idea at Camp Walden strives to create a unique camping experience for underprivileged girls.
In a safe and comforting environment the girls learn to take on new challenges, communicate effectively with their peers, set higher goals and have fun while being a kid!
Main Idea offers a wonderful ten-day program of sports, art, and overnight camping to children who might otherwise never have this opportunity.
Campers are led by a well-trained and experienced staff, with a ratio of one counselor or counselor aide to every three girls.
