Our hospice is dedicated to the support & care of persons with limited life expectancies, so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible. The hospice philosophy focuses on maintaining the quality of life for each patient. Our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals & volunteers provides caring support to the patient and their family - wherever they call home!

Volunteers are an integral part of our philosophy. Hospice volunteers are there to hold a hand and listen, read or write a letter, run errands or even help out in the office. Volunteers are there to step in when a family member needs a break, and they are there for the family & friends after their loved one has passed away. No matter what your skills, talents or motivation, we have the opportunity for you to help.

Administrative volunteers provide organizational/clerical support including filing, answering phones, mailings and additional support - some tasks can be completed from your home.

Bereavement volunteers provide support to families through phone calls, mailings and visits - some tasks can be done from your home.

Patient visitor volunteers provide friendly visits to hospice patients in their homes or long-term healthcare facilities, to provide companionship and support both to the patient & their families.

Pet Therapy Volunteers provide caring visits to patients with their registered therapy dogs. The pet therapy volunteer team must be registered or willing to become registered.

Tuck-in volunteers make weekly supportive phone calls to patients and families.

Specialty volunteers provide specific support including music, vigil, arts & crafts, life review video, spiritual support, and handyman help.

Volunteers can choose where, when and how they share their time, talents and heart!
