The Lifespan Program is a new clinic program to provide integrated care for neurodiverse children, youth and adults - bringing together medical services (Developmental Pediatrics, Child/Adol Psychiatry, Neurology, Family Medicine), behavioral and therapy services with family advocacy, patient navigation and family support services. The goal is to improve care and provide seamless continuity across the lifespan.
SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University serves a diverse population including Afro-Caribbean and Latino communities, and draws neurodiverse and autistic patients and families from across the region.
We embrace a neurodiversity perspective, and are committed to a person-centered, interdisciplinary approach with professionals working closely with self- and family-advocates and community members.
