Officer Joseph D Corr Foundation

The organization has three primary objectives:

1. Raise funds to memoralize those Police, Firefighters and EMS that have made the ultimate sacrifice in the Central NY area being defined as Oneida, madison, Herkimer and Lewis Counties.
2. Support scholarships in the Law Enforcement Field.
3. Funding and support of Police, Fire and EMS survivors and their immediate families with other immediate needs.

Officer Joe Corr was a son, brother, husband and father. On February 27th, 2006 when he was shot and killed in the line of duty, the lives of his family and friends and all those who knew him were changed forever. The family was overwhelmed with the outpouring of sympathy and kindness from the public.

However they soon realized that there was no place in Central New York where the story of those Officers that gave their lives can be told. That's the primary reason why this Foundation was formed.
