WindAid Institute is an American and Peruvian non-profit based in Trujillo, Peru, who work with volunteers to build small-scale wind turbines to give to communities in Peru who have no access to electricity.
Each group of volunteers fully build and install either a 2.5kW or 500 W wind turbine. This can generate enough electricity to power their energy consumption.
Thanks to the help from all of our volunteers, every wind turbine we build is given away to communities in Peru that could not otherwise afford to generate electricity.
