Central Behavioral Health

Central Behavioral Health (Central) is Montgomery County, Pennsylvania’s oldest private, not for profit, multi-service, community behavioral health clinic governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We believe our greatest organizational strength is our presence in the community for over 60 years and the strong community resources we have developed. We continually adapt services to emerging treatment approaches in a manner that reflects our recovery-oriented, person-centered and trauma-responsive philosophy. We work and plan side-by-side, with our consumers, their families and other stakeholders. Central Behavioral Health is proud to offer over 25 programs serving all ages with six locations in the Norristown and Abington Area of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania some of the services are:

• Outpatient psychotherapy, psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children, adolescents, adults and older adults
• 24/7 on call emergency assistance for Recovery Coaching, Blended Case Management, Family Based Services and Clinical Outpatient
• Intensive group psychotherapy services for adults and older adults
• Community based Recovery Coaching and Case Management services for children, transitional age youth, adults and older adults
• Behavioral Health and Rehabilitation Services (BHRS) for children
• Family Based Services (FBS) for children and families
• Extended Assessment for children services
• Transition to Independence Process (TIP) – supports youth 16-26 in navigating the path to independence
• Methacton School District, PA - in school counseling services
•  Adult Certified Peer Specialists (CPS)
• Career Center
• Clinical Liaison to Behavioral Health Court and Residential Housing Transformation
• Clinical Wellness Recovery Team (CWRT) for adults
• Clinical Options Towards Recovery (CORE), Central’s Drug and Alcohol Program
• Older Adult Partial Program (Oasis)
• Senior Care Outreach Services – in-home psychotherapy and psychiatric support
• Project Connect – Service provided in partnership with Montgomery County emergency Services to minimize the time between discharge from hospitalization and first appointment with outpatient services at Central
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
