SEEDS puts good things together: people, environment, and good design. We connect these things to build resilient and sustainable community. We focus our efforts in three areas:
1. Building Community Locally: We network fantastic educators and students of all ages together.
2. Energy & Environmental Analysis: We engage in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions monitoring and planning as well as sustainability audits.
3. Ecological Engineering & Design: We specialize in water systems.
Our favorite work involves bringing these realms together and convening participatory processes that develop strategies for change with measurable outcomes.
Our programs include extra-ordinary education for kids, a Youth Conservation Corps, energy efficiency assessments for homes, ecological design projects, Bioneer conferences, and other community-supporting projects.
Our programs are diverse, but they are connected by SEEDS’ commitment to a triple bottom line: people, profits, and the planet.
