Prince William Area Free Clinic

Prince William Area Free Clinic Unified Health Center at St. Margaret's (PWAFC) is a free clinic for the low-income and un-insured residents of Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park. Most services are free of charge and include diagnostic studies, specialty care and referrals, dental care, case management, patient education, medication access, and preventative care. 

SInce PWAFC was founded in 1992, we have grown from treating patient's in three one-day a week walk-in clinic's to the creation of a medical home in the county for our patients by providing preventative and chronic disease self-management programs, and continuity of care. The mission of the Prince William Area Free Clinic is to provide adult and pediatric medical care and acute dental care to qualified, low-income residents of the Prince William area without duplicating services provided by other non-profit healthcare organizations.

The PWAFC has grown into a primary care home for hundreds of patients and with thousands of encounters each year. We are run by a small core staff and many volunteers every day to meet the needs of poor patients. The PWAFC is a 501c-3 and is funded by grants and individual donations. 

The clinic's scope of services includes primary care, specialty care on-site as well as specialty referrals. We have pharmacy access, education classes, and dental services. Through partnerships with other community-based non-profits, the PWAFC offers patient wrap-around services such as SNAP applications and health literacy counseling. Partnerships with Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center and NOVANT and UVA Health systems we have access to diagnostic imagining and laboratory services.
