United Way of Central Jersey

The MISSION of the United Way of Central Jersey is as follows: "We provide leadership to create opportunities for a better life for people living or working in our community who are needy, at risk, and vulnerable.

We achieve this by mobilizing people, organizations and financial resources to create and sustain programs that achieve targeted outcomes and lasting change through volunteerism, partnerships, services and advocacy".

The VISION: "The United Way of Central Jersey envisions strong and healthy communities where all community members assist each other in becoming productive, contributing members of society, achieving their full potential".

Short Term, the United Way of Central Jersey will target its resources to make meaningful, measurable impact in the areas of education, health and income. Inasmuch as we fund a broad range of programs in each of these substantive areas, we rely upon the agencies we fund to demonstrate effectiveness utilizing measurement tools tailored for program specific purpose. Over the longer term, we will continue to narrow our focus with the expectation that we will have major, significant impact on specific problems and needs identified in our service area.
