Save An Angel

Save-An-Angel (dba Save An Angel) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to ending pet overpopulation, increasing pet retention, and creating a compassionate and safe community for pets and people by providing pet parents with access to resources, education, and affordable veterinary care.

Our mission is simple and proactive, to strengthen the bond between pets and their families, increase pet retention, and end pet overpopulation through access to affordable veterinary care.

We operate a low cost Pet Wellness and Spay/Neuter Clinic and provide lifesaving services to thousands of dogs and cats each year across Bastrop County and the surrounding communities. Our work focuses on prevention, education, and accessibility. By providing affordable vaccines, spay and neuter surgeries, microchipping, heartworm prevention, and community outreach programs, we reduce shelter intake and keep pets in the homes that love them.

We serve a diverse population of pet owners, including working families, seniors on fixed incomes, veterans, and residents in rural areas who may otherwise struggle to access veterinary care. Many of our clients drive long distances because they trust our team and our mission.

Our values center on compassion, accountability, professionalism, and community collaboration. We believe prevention saves lives. We believe access to care is essential, not optional. And we believe strong public and nonprofit partnerships are key to creating long term, sustainable impact for animals and the people who love them.
