SJVRC ORGANIZATION

SJVRC is a 501(c)(3) organization, founded in September 2016 by Luong Le and a small group of runners who ran casually on a weekly basis. Within a short period, the club grew to approximately 300 members. Together with our members, sponsors, and supporters, we continue to build a team - one that dedicated to fostering a common vision - One mile 4 One child - and mission - For Charity, For Fun, We Run!

• CHARITY - Provide financial support to various orphanages in Vietnam with fundraising efforts, and encourage our members to serve different communities;
• FUN - Have fun running, participating in fundraising, and networking and socializing in the Vietnamese community; and
• RUN - Provide a non-competitive environment in which our members can achieve personal health goals through running.

As we continue to grow, commitment to our mission remains at the core of our identity. It is woven into the decisions we make for the long-term commitment of making a profound and resilient impact to promote and inspire healthier lives for our members through running and better world for unprivileged children in Vietnam.

We have learned through experience that when we run together we stay more motivated, train harder, and run longer and faster than we have ever thought possible or accomplish our running goal that was, at one time, seemed impossible.
