Beyond Thrift

Beyond Thrift is a nonprofit entity of the 501(c)(3) organization Sol Sanctuary. A new member of Utah’s nonprofit community, Beyond Thrift is incorporated by three retail thrift stores across the Wasatch Front, one warehouse and central office, one fully manned donation drop-off center and almost 90 donation bins spread across both Salt Lake and Utah County. At Beyond Thrift, we embrace the idea that “little” actions--if multiplied--can have lasting and global impact. That is why we have structured our nonprofit business model to direct store revenues to local and national partner organizations that have proven track records and evaluated models of sustainability. Our goal is to help stem the tide of extreme poverty abroad, help local populations become more resilient and self-reliant, and disrupt the all too common single-user-to-landfill lifecycle for 85% of America’s textile goods.
