The aim of Puppies with a Purpose, Inc. is to facilitate the use of both psychiatric service dogs, as well as therapy dogs, to help with treatment of patients with psychiatric symptoms. Our organization will focus on education as well as providing assistance with training and certification of both service and therapy dogs. In addition, we will help with placement of the volunteer canine–human team in psychiatric settings to provide animal assisted therapy. Our organization has both trainers and mental health professionals directly involved.
